Melbourne In Flames 2010

MIF2010 is an event for Warhammer 40,000 and Warhammer Fantasy Battle, to be held over the weekend of 10th and 11th April 2010 (the weekend after Easter) at Phoenix Park Community Centre in Victoria, Australia.

The main object of MIF2010 is to provide a competitive but relaxed venue for like minded players to get together and beat the living snot out of each other, in the friendliest way possible! It’s also a place to show off your kick-ass painting, modelling and hobby skills, and will provide up to 200 wargamers with the opportunity to have a great weekend of gaming.

Melbourne in Flames moves into its third year for MIF 2010!

Galaxy in Flames (the 40k side) is expanding from 80 players to 100+ spots, and for its second year, Empire in Flames will have 70 positions (up from 46 in 2009).

Melbourne in Flames has the distinction of being the only event in Melbourne now that runs both major GW systems.

Regrettably, due to family commitments, I can’t attend and had to withdraw from competition at the last moment. This completely aside, in the past Melbourne In Flames is a brilliant run and executed event that I can’t recommend enough.

Of course, I say that a lot.

The Melbourne Warhammer 40000 and Warhammer scene are rife with great events, but it’s the differences that make Melbourne In Flames one of the standouts!

Seeing as I’m not going, I guess it’s safe to post my army list here for all to see.

This year I was going to take Plague Marines and had come up with (what I felt) was a pretty fun and competitive list.
